Terms of Service

1. About us. This website is operated by Halstrom & Vale, a trading name of Harrison Meredith, a sole trader based at Bay R13, Unit 66 Queens Court Trading Estate, Greets Green Road, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B70 9EQ, United Kingdom. Contact us at admin@halstromvale.com.

2. These terms. By placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them before ordering. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time of your order applies.

3. Orders. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil your order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

4. Prices and payment. All prices are shown in pounds sterling. Prices exclude delivery, which is added at checkout. We take payment at the time of order. We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order where a price has been listed in error.

5. Products. Product images and descriptions are provided in good faith. Handmade, natural and wood-based items vary in grain, colour and finish, and minor variation is not a defect. Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly.

6. Delivery. Delivery timescales are set out in our Shipping policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. We will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed unless otherwise agreed with you.

7. Cancellation and returns. Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in our Return and refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

8. Your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

9. Liability. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price you paid for the goods. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses, as our products are sold for domestic and private use.

10. Events outside our control. We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, customs delays, extreme weather or industrial action. Where such an event occurs we will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.

11. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
