Tea that pours itself
The pot sits in a wooden cradle above the cup. Lift the upper chamber and a magnetic seal opens, the brewed tea runs down through the filter, and it closes again when you set it back. No strainer to fish out, no lid to hold, no drips across the table. It is the whole ritual of gongfu tea with the fiddly part taken out.
Why the glass matters
Heat resistant borosilicate, the same glass used for laboratory ware, so it takes water straight off the boil without the shock that cracks ordinary glass. It is also completely clear, which is the point of brewing tea this way. You watch the colour come up and pour when it looks right rather than guessing at a timer.
Why you will love it
- Semi automatic pour - lift and set down, the magnetic valve does the rest.
- Built in filter - loose leaf goes straight in, nothing floats into the cup.
- Borosilicate glass - handles boiling water without cracking.
- Solid wood cradle - holds the pot at pouring height and looks like furniture, not equipment.
- Nothing to disassemble - no infuser basket to empty, no lid to balance.
- Doubles as a centrepiece - it earns its place on the table between uses.

Care
Rinse with warm water after use and let it drain upside down. Avoid a sudden change from very hot to very cold, which is hard on any glass however tough. The wooden cradle should be wiped rather than washed, and kept out of standing water so it does not swell.
