A carafe that earns its place on the table
Half a litre of borosilicate glass with a drawn pouring spout and a wooden collar where you hold it. It was designed for coffee, but it does not much care what is in it. Iced tea, a small batch of cold brew, water with lemon, wine that wants opening up. The collar means you can carry it full without wrapping a tea towel round your hand.
Built around the pour
The spout is drawn out of the rim rather than moulded on, so it cuts the stream cleanly and does not dribble down the side. The collar sits directly below it, which puts your hand exactly where the weight is when you tip it. At 500ml it holds two decent servings, which is the right amount for a table for two rather than something you fill once and leave to go cold.
A cone, not a jug
The body flares from a narrow rim down to a wide 9cm base, which is what keeps it steady on a tray when it is full and being carried. There is no lid, no filter and no handle to knock, so nothing traps grounds and a bottle brush sweeps the whole inside in one pass.
Why you will love it
- Clean spout - a proper drawn lip, not a rolled edge that runs.
- Wooden collar - insulates the one part of the glass you touch.
- Borosilicate - takes hot coffee straight in without a warm-up.
- 500ml - two servings, poured while still hot.
- Wide base - it does not tip on a tray.
- Reads as glassware - it does not look like coffee equipment sat on a dining table.

Care
Rinse the glass by hand and keep the wooden collar out of standing water. It is not a dishwasher piece. A bottle brush and warm water is all it needs, and the open top means that takes about ten seconds.
