The vertical half of your worktop
Most kitchens run out of surface long before they run out of wall. A two tier shelf takes the same footprint as three jars but holds nine, and it does it without drilling anything. Put the things you reach for daily on the top and the refills underneath.
Woven cane, not a slab of board
Both tiers are woven cane panels set into a slim frame of pale natural wood. That is what keeps it from reading as a lump of furniture on the counter. It is light to look at, it lets air move around whatever is stood on it, and the weave gives the whole thing a texture that a flat board never has. The splayed A frame sides do the structural work, so the shelves themselves can stay this fine.
Why you will love it
- Doubles your usable surface - same footprint, two levels.
- Woven cane on both tiers - lighter to look at than solid board and lets air circulate.
- Splayed A frame sides - the structure that lets the shelves stay slim.
- No fixings needed - it stands on the counter, so nothing gets drilled.
- Assembles in minutes - flat packed, then together with no fuss.
- Not only for the kitchen - equally at home on a desk, a dressing table or a bathroom counter.

Care
Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it. Neither wood nor cane enjoys standing water, so deal with spills rather than leaving them, and keep it off a surface that gets regularly soaked. If the wood looks dry after a year, a light rub of food safe oil will bring the colour back.
