The end of the mismatched spice shelf
Spices arrive in whatever jar the supplier used, so a spice rack becomes a row of competing labels in six different heights. Decant them into these and the shelf reads as one thing: one shape, one height, one lid, six times over. The only thing that changes along the row is the colour of what is inside, which is the part you actually want to see.
A lid that does two jobs
Under the bamboo cap is a sifter insert with two openings. The small holes shake fine ground pepper or chilli evenly over a pan. Turn the jar the other way and the wide slot lets you pour or spoon out a measured amount for a recipe. Lift the whole insert out and the jar refills without a funnel fight.
Small enough to keep by the hob
Each jar holds 120ml, about 4 fl oz, and stands 10.4cm tall on a 4.4cm base. That is deliberately modest. A big jar of ground spice goes stale long before you reach the bottom, and a small one fits a drawer insert, a shallow shelf or the gap beside the hob where you actually want it.
Why you will love it
- Bamboo lids with a silicone seal - warm to look at, airtight where it counts.
- Sift or pour - a shaker for seasoning and a wide slot for measuring.
- Six identical jars - same shape, same height, same lid, so a shelf of them looks calm.
- Clear glass - you can see what is running low without opening anything.
- Labels, funnel and brush included - decanting is a job you do once.
- Refillable for years - buy spices loose and stop paying for packaging.

Care
Wash the glass however you like. The bamboo lids should be hand washed and dried straight away, since a dishwasher cycle will dry out and eventually split any untreated wood. Make sure the jar is completely dry before refilling, because a trace of water will clump ground spice within days.
